Our conversations range from anything from The Newsreader to life stuff, and it’s incredible. We operate on the same wavelength so often it’s sort of eerie. My only complaint is that we live on opposite sides of the world. I don’t like that at all!

The bloodthirsty nature over her death has been nothing short of horrifying and then this happens. I don’t care who you are. The death penalty is wrong and should be done away with. The state shouldn’t be allowed to take lives. End of story. I’m so glad we don’t have it in the UK anymore.

I’ve been a media witness to two federal executions. One was Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. The other, a week later, was a drug kingpin named Juan Raul Garza. My conclusion after watching both men die: The death penalty should not exist. Period. It fixes nothing, and it erodes our souls.
