Do you need a very tough as well as strong material? Look at this study using a mussel to define their properties and leading to a inspired biomaterial with this properties! www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Off to Lausanne to spend four days thinking about one of the most fascinating organelles ;) #EMBOCentrosomes at EPFL: centrioles, PCM, cilia So if you wanna chat about the centriole architecture, UExM, you will find me around! #postdoclife #cellbiology

Hey Bungo. I don't know if you figure it out but look at this one. From this paper: shorturl.at/Og2tn They identify this blue light receptor only in one the posterior flagelum!

This is the cover proposal I made for our recent paper! It’s Pyramimonas diskoicola — a very beautiful green flagellate and one of those cells that makes you stop and stare for a while. I tried to capture its shape, symmetry, and general vibe :) #FluorescenceFriday #BioArt #SciArt #Illustration

CRISPR KI seems to work very fine, but it's a bit painful and long. But maintainin the expression seems to control quite better the effects of overexpression of the GFP OE...

Lately I've been only posting images of really interesting protist here, but something that many don't know is that most of my time i'm expanding 'boring' mammalian cells and that I love human centrioles. Don't tell me that they are not beautiful😍👁️ #FluorescenceFriday #CellBiology #Cytoskeleton

Yeah. Probably it is the pyreonid, which is localized there in some species, and we are able to see it using NHS. Look this picture and compare it with the EM image.
