So instead of Republicans passing legislation to regulate AI, Trump signed an EO that allows tech companies to police themselves. I’m with Rep Lieu (D-CA) Republicans need to get their asses back to DC to pass a law that has #GuardrailsForAI this is absurd.

Worth some serious thought. Someone may eventually crack QM with a plausible explanation that doesn't invoke magic & metaphysics. I like the idea. It's new, it'll take time. 100+ years later we do not have a decent agreed upon interpretation of QM & what it really means, we can allow this to grow.

you’re looking at the remains of a dying star this is the lion nebula, seen by jwst 🌌✨
Webb’s near and mid infrared combined image of planetary nebula NGC 2392, the Lion Nebula, against the black background of space. The nebula is at center, circular in shape, and looks like a male lion’s head. In the center is a small, pinkish-white circle with eight-point diffraction spikes, a white dwarf star. Surrounding the star are purple-pink cavernous bubbles and shell-like rings. The bubbles and shells collectively form an oval with two small, wide arcs near the top, reminiscent of a lion’s face and its ears. What appears to be extended outward from the lion’s face is a thick ring of purple-blue material. The width of the ring is consistent throughout and resembles a mane. The area closest to the lion’s face looks cloudy, while the edges of the mane look like there are clumps of dust with comet-like tails. In the background are distant galaxies and stars. Some galaxies are yellow and orange points of light and others have spiral structures. Some stars have diffraction spikes.

obsessed with this picture from artemis ii because you can see the reflection in the window of whoever was taking the photo and it just makes it more human
Just above the smooth, curved crest of the lunar horizon, a small, brightly lit crescent Earth is visible, appearing to rise or set over the Moon. Faint reflections, glare, and hints of an astronaut's silhouette or equipment from inside the Orion spacecraft cabin window blur the upper half of the composition, giving a distinct perspective of looking out from inside a vehicle.

If you’re watching Fauci’s testimony remember that science isn’t an ideology. It doesn’t lie. It evolves. COVID-19 was a once-in-a-century pandemic caused by a brand-new virus, recommendations changed because the evidence changed. That’s not deception. That’s how it works.
