A Hasidic Jew, with the sidecurls, hat, and everything, is being deported. For the alleged crime of antisemitism. For peacefully protesting Israel. Where he is a citizen; and to which he is being deported.

Sort of insane fact about how broken US urban planning is—America now spends more building *just the lights for roads and highways* than on all subways & ground mass transit combined Spending on roadway *pavement* is 18x transit spending

And a lot of this just boils down to elite projection, as @humantransit.bsky.social smartly points out. Most people just need good transit. Rich white people don't want to mix with people they see as beneath them, hence all the resources being plowed into what is, at the end of the day, a worse bus.

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.
