On a positive note, judging by how furious these fucks are and how they've brought out the real big guns to force Ukraine to stop, the strikes against Russia's oil industry are clearly having a very serious impact.

Russia has been at war with Britain for years and the EU referendum was an open goal which they exploited. That doesn't mean that "Putin made Brexit happen" but his troll farms and media operations certainly played a part Brexiters may hate to hear it but to deny it is to deny a dangerous reality.

Some typically farsighted and well-balanced analysis here. The scariest bit is that Putin seems to be turning to narratives of desperation to justify his rhetoric of escalation: a desperate Russia is more frightening even than a bullying one. Desperation leads to gambles.

I understand why Streeting has to take this line, but from a practical point of view, there is no longer much value in having Trump inside the tent. He is, at best, inconsistent, which, even when he's offering support for Ukraine, leaves windows of opportunity for Putin.
