Hello! I AM a biology (genetics) expert and can confirm 100% of this is true. I've seen firsthand hundreds of differences in sexual development (dsd's) in dogs. It's leaning into grade-3-level misconceptions of biology that drive these politically motivated decisions.

Without even taking into account the fact that sex and gender are not the same thing, there are so many more sexes than male and female. Someone could, for instance, have an XX karyotype but one of their X chromosomes has a fused SR-Y gene resulting in them looking like a man, despite being XX.

The number is actually 97.1% if you include the little shuffling around between nonbinary and binary identities that happened, but it is *remarkable* how rock-steady at 97-98% youth trans self-identification is. Believe kids when they tell you they're trans!!
