And look, I understand this shares some of the aesthetic of deep focus in classic film, asking the viewer to make choices where they point their eye rather than directing them, but I think you're losing the entire value of framing in the process.

Composing for a specific frame requires choices about what is in and out of frame that often define the most beautiful shots. Here everything is in frame with the focal point just some general spot in the middle. Makes it all very flat.
