I wrote about this at length in my newsletter tonight. My daily newsletter doesn't have a paywall on it. And I've collapsed my formerly successful web site into the newsletter effort because the ad market is crap. I know money is tight. But if you appreciate someone's work, be willing to pay for it

The amazing thing about MN Republicans is that in theory, they should have a decent shot of winning some statewide races. But they are almost uniformly focusing on political fan service and conspiracy theories

I am hearing a lot of talk that a round of layoffs are coming at Netflix. Ranging from 5-10% of the total workforce, which would be a major disruption DM if you know anything.

Three years ago, the Free Beacon ironically named me man of the year on their website. "Don’t give up Ben, you have a whole lot of nothing to look forward to," they wrote. This year, I was on a TIME100 list. I would take this moment to tell them how they can suck me: from the back. Thank you.

We don’t know about Ben’s family or personal finances, but we certainly can’t disagree about his lack of skills. But for someone with absolutely no ability, Ben has found the perfect gig.

Don’t give up Ben, you have a whole lot of nothing to look forward to. Only now, when you do nothing, you'll do it as a Free Beacon Man of the Year.

Even though we're more than a month out, I'd love to find some local bar to organize an election night watch party. Ideally, someplace with the TV turned onto MSNOW, reasonably-priced drinks and some level of bar food

DEAD MEDIA. A scrappy DIY horror film that is as Minneapolis a movie as it gets. When friends decide to spin up a long lost horror film, they find a special feature that unleashes the film into their home. Really uses DVD cleverly to create a new kind of analog horror. Really dug it. Coming soon!
