I keep seeing people saying the games industry is going through a crash, but it really isn't. That implies the industry itself is in trouble. Big publishers and platform owners are all making big profits, and are still laying people off and closing studios. It's not a market crash. It's vandalism.

It's messed up how the 6 month break I took from hema training just so happened to coincide with a 6 month long pervading sense of hopelessness. Super cool that an intensive 3 hour fencing workout this week aligns with a huge mood boost.
