If the iPhone had been invented in the 60s, it would have included a built-in cigarette lighter.

Hmm, let me walk back slightly/explain myself - I haven't paid much attention to the current "super intelligence" branding that has everyone bothered. My response was more aimed at your ongoing series of posts, in which you use Google results as the gold standard for whether LLMs still suck.

Um actually, shifting airport maintenance costs from taxpayers to passengers will disincentivize air travel, making it Carney’s first good climate policy.

Allow me to make the case for why calcite should not only earn your vote but win the tournament. Calcite is the mineral with the most forms, is highly fluorescent & phosphorescent, helped explain the wave nature of light, laid the foundation for optics/polarizers, and even calms an upset tummy. A 🧵:

In retrospect, it’s kind of crazy how many of us 90s kids lived through the absolute peak of human civilization while being slightly depressed because “the suburbs are boring, man.”

When you buy a bbq brush to clean your grill, it's important to choose a bamboo one. That way, when a bristle falls off and lodges in your throat and kills you, at least you die an organic death.

What's nice about AI is that it finally separates the art from the artist - no longer do you have to be concerned that some nice piece of art, music or literature was made by problematic people, now you can rest assured that it was conjured out of thin air with no baggage attached!

Has anyone ever made any art/literature/music about the transience of existence and the excruciating burden of our own mortality? Because it could be a good topic if nobody’s done it yet. Food for thought.

Switching back and forth between LinkedIn and Bluesky is enough to give one cognitive whiplash. Is AI a revolutionary game changer that’s already radically transforming the entire economy? Or is it unreliable, plagiarizing malware that serves no purpose other than to waste energy and time?
