At a good beer bar in Amsterdam. Just listened to a group from the UK unable to decide on what they want or completely understand they only carry Dutch beer here. Then despite the bartender asking them not to, they used AI to order, just to have it make up fake facts about the beers.

BTW, Dulles was stupid efficient today even with the train issues. United bag check took less than five minutes as did regular security (I don't use CLEAR when I'm with Nam but I can't imagine how it would have sped things up). The train took a couple of minutes but the Chef Geoff's wasn't busy.

Happy Clarendon day! Kind of crappy weather. We made a brief visit, had a couple of drinks and some gimbap from the bubble tea place, and headed home for lunch. None of the other food was interesting enough to warrant eating on the street. (And saw @adamtheo.com but he was busy talking YIMBY...)

Great breakfast at Toast in Asbury Park. I had the Jersey Benny (pork roll, American cheese, poached egg, hollandaise sauce on an English muffin) and Nam got the pancake sampler (cinnamon swirl, carrot cake, and red velvet).

And when were these glory days? I'm fondly thinking of almost 20 years ago with Pegu Club, Milk & Honey, Death and Co., PDT...amazing bars. Last time I was in NYC we went to Superbueno and Bar Snack and I was BLOWN AWAY. Time goes on.
