I shaved this off a few days after the accident, and have remained cleanshaven since. Today at the corner market I've been buying bottles of wine at for years, the guy behind the counter asked to see my ID for a Merlot. This was the right move.

This pseudo-rant brought to you by my month-long search for an ivory- or beige-colored chunky (thicc!) cable knit Queen-sized blanket made from only natural fibers. Like this, but cotton, wool, etc. Apparently this is too much to ask for in our society.

I am becoming radicalized by how the blankets and decorative pillowcases in every store are always polyester. It's almost impossible to find anything good looking made from natural fibers, especially in Target or Macy's and increasingly even online such as Wayfair.

I met Bobby in the 7-eleven on Washington Blvd in Clarendon a couple years ago after the store owner introduced us. Chatted for a good 10 minutes about what it's like to run a restaurant. Seems like the restaurant (this second incarnation across the street from the original) will close imminently.

Finished Count Zero, the sequel to Neuromancer. I liked the characters more & the writing was cleaner + easier to follow -- yet way too much exposition & in-character explanation of background or intent from everyone. Also, stepping back I found the plot kind of flat except Marly's thread. #booksky
