I hope all this Islamophobia backfires on the Republicans big time, whether it is intentionally misnaming Muslim men or trying to strip the citizenship of a Muslim congresswoman. And not just because there are many Muslim voters, but because non-Muslims who are also decent people will be abhorred.

Yet here’s Patel’s letter firing & smearing Jennifer Bacon, a decorated Air Force officer (9 yrs) and decorated FBI agent (16 yrs). Patel had personally commended her work, shaking her hand, just months earlier. 7/7-end
Dear Ms. Bacon:
This document provides official notice that you are being summarily dismissed from your
position at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and removed from federal service, under my authority as the FBI Director, effective immediately.
You have exercised poor judgment and a lack of impartiality in carrying out duties, leading
to the political weaponization of the government.
Pursuant to Article II of the United States Constitution and the laws of the United States,
your employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is hereby terminated.
If applicable, you may have a right to file an appeal of this removal with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) within 30 days of the effective date of the removal action.
For more information on how to file an appeal with the MSPB, please visit www.mspb.gov.
Sincerely,
Kashyap P. Patel
DirectorDuring her FBI career, Bacon was awarded the FBI Medal of Excellence, the
Attorney General's Award for Outstanding Counterintelligence Investigation, two awards from the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI Director's Leadership Award.

Around same time, grand jury subpoenaed Kash's toll records. On 2/25/26, when Kash fired agents, he played the victim card vis-à-vis his toll records & claimed they’d been kept in a vault to shield oversight. But that’s standard with sensitive investigative matter (SIM) files, complaint says. 5/7
seizing the phone records of him and Wiles." Patel complained that the phone records had been
placed in the FBI's restricted files ("prohibited case files") to evade oversight. But investigatory
files in SIMs often have restricted access in order to better safeguard information and reduce the
risk of media leaks related to sensitive targets. Patel's statements regarding the subpoenas to a news outlet appear to have violated the gag order issued by the federal judge who oversaw matters related to the classified documents case based on DOJ's own interpretation of that order.29 On the
same day that he provided the information about the subpoenas to Reuters, Patel summarily fired
Plaintiffs Bacon, Feldman, Granados, Herrera, Kaufman, Linton, Matanic, and Vaccaro. Patel
fired Plaintiff Ray the following day. In the article, three unnamed FBI "sources" linked the Plaintiffs' terminations to the "revelations" about the phone records subpoenas in the classified
documents case.

Patel himself was closely scrutinized in Plasmic Echo. He’d publicly claimed to have witnessed Trump declassifying docs at issue in the case, a claim undercut by facts developed in the probe. He took the 5th before the grand jury & was later compelled to testify with use immunity. 4/7
In September 2022, after Patel had publicly claimed personal knowledge that
Trump had declassified the materials that he unlawfully retained at Mar-a-Lago, Plaintiffs Linton and Ray served Patel with a subpoena commanding him to testify before the grand jury. ' Patel moved to quash the subpoena, but the court denied his motion and ordered him to testify. 1 When he eventually appeared to testify, Patel repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination." DOJ then moved to compel Patel's testimony. 2° The court granted DOT's motion contingent on Patel receiving immunity for his testimony.?1
After he was granted
immunity, Patel returned to the grand jury and testified.

Complaint alleges that Starr was on Kash’s “Director’s Advisory Team,” a group that appears to probe Trump’s perceived enemies. Per complaint, Starr worked on the 1st Comey prosecution & was the agent Mag Judge Fitzpatrick criticized below right. 3/7
The government presented this case to the grand jury on September 25, 2025. ECF 1. The
same day, prior to the grand jury presentment, Agent-2 alerted the lead case agent (hereinafter referred to as Agent-3) and an attorney with the FBI's Office of General Counsel that "evidence obtained in the Government's investigation of James Comey may constitute attorney-client privileged or attorney-client confidential information. It is also possible that [the agents] may have
obtained evidence that constitutes attorney work-product information." ECF 89-5.
Agent-2 gave
Agent-3 and the FBI attorney "a limited overview of the [privileged] communications." ECF 172-2? Agent-3, rather than remove himself from the investigative team until the taint issue was resolved, proceeded into the grand jury undeterred and testified in support of the pending indictment. ECF 179. In fact, Agent-3 was the only witness to testify before the grand jury in support of the pending indictment. Id. The government's decision to allow an agent who was exposed to potentially privileged information to testify before a grand jury is highly irregular and
a radical departure from past DOJ practice.
