While Mullin was berating her, Dr. Monarez did not budge in her statements of what happened during that meeting. Bill Cassidy had gone to Rent-A-Spine that day and clarified for the record that Mullin admitted he lied about having a recording. And now he’s the DHS Director.

Eric Schmitt (R, MO) is rightly taking a lot of heat but I contend that Markwayne Mullin (R) accusing former CDC Director Dr. Susan Monarez of lying was equally bad if not worse. Mullin claimed he had an audio recording of Monarez’ meeting with RFK Jr. where he fired her. He was lying.
