-seems to really have done the trick. Only other things are I cut the straw shorter and plugged the singular drain hole with a repurposed cork we had. I love the idea of filling it up with prettier and prettier rocks.

Update on my fountain! It was having a lot of water loss, which I made worse by making the plastic tube base smaller, causing the water to splash out instead of in, but its more stable. I finally realized that pebbles would stop/minimize the splashing so I gathered and rinsed a few and this 1/2

I made a teacup birdy fountain :) I am pleased.

A planter in the form of a giant teacup and saucer, converted in to a bird bath. It has 2 levels made of brown planter drip trays and a red straw spewing water.

Last year I really regretted not growing anything during the warm seasons, and this year there's a nice 19"x38" planter up on the deck I could use. Ive never done this though. I plan on doing some combination of rosemary, parsley, radishes, chives and colenda, but honestly could use some imput.

Lately I've been pining so hard for a forever home my wife and I can finally renovate, expand, landscape, garden, paint, furnish, decorate, host, grow old in together. All I can currently do is start learning skills Ill need for these things, since Ive never had to do half of those things.

This is my latest Dahlia to open. I don't know what it's called, they had some tubers that were unmarked so I bought some. It's actually very very white, about 7 in across. Everything has an orange glow to it today because of the smoke in the upper atmosphere.
