Ridley the Space Pirate has been gifted a massive orange orb and honestly not now massive orange orb

It's the image of Pope Leo being presented with a massive green orb, but instead of Pope Leo, it's Ridley the Space Pirate from Metroid. He looks on anxiously as he is presented with a massive orange orb, which is clearly his arch nemesis Samus in her Morph Ball form.

the mat_phong rimlights on TF2 characters were added during the production of Meet the Heavy. an artist decided to paint rim lights over a production still, and they liked the effect so much that they immediately wrote its shader code it's why trailers 1 and 2 don't have it, but Meet the Heavy does

Page 1: A man is walking home, smoking a cigarette, being quietly trailed by a UFO above him. As he enters his apartment, two aliens watch from inside the ship. Alien 1, who has a large head, says, “that’s him. Let’s move.”

Page 2: The man walks upstairs as the aliens watch from the entrance of the building. The man enters his apartment and greets his little dog. Suddenly there is a knock at the door.

Page 3: he peers through his peephole, and sees the two aliens standing in the hallway. Alien 1 is holding a briefcase. From behind him, the voice of alien one: “don’t scream.”

Page 4: The aliens are seated across the room on the man’s couch. Sadie is in her bed next to them. Alien 1 says, “you’re not in any danger. Have a seat.” The man looks at his dog and thinks, “sadie is unusually calm.” Alien 1: don’t scream, or it’s a problem.

I honestly like that better. Games like Peak and Lethal Company clearly have a lot of love put into them, I wouldn't put that in the category of "thoughtless formulaic output" that "slop" implies
