The worst thing to happen to youtube gaming content is the video essay. Not because well written thought pieces about a specific game or subject are bad. It's more that the people making these videos have nothing to actually say and spend the bulk of the video recapping the game and its release.

Did you know that back in 2008 if you 100% completed GTA4 the first week the game was out they would send you a REAL key to the city? You can now sell that on ebay for enough to get a PS5 Pro, GTA6, and this "collectors edition".

Watching people bend over backwards to come up with reasons why Control Resonant is also a terrible game that nobody should play is just kinda sad now. It's a speed run for a lot of content creators now to just find something to hate for clicks and its exhausting.

Apple should make a feature phone. Not joking, an Apple feature phone with no app store. You get: a decent camera, apple music, apple maps, call and iMessage, that's it. You can pair Airpods to it, it has Carplay but no Siri or voice assist of any kind. 200 bucks. Ship it cowards.

I think it's NOT a coincidence that people's sudden intolerance (in the 2020s) for flawed, complex, or stubborn characters that don't turn around & completely change themselves to resolve a story sprouts up as everyone seems incapable of reviewing a game w/o spending half the time detailing its plot

Once again I think it is a shame that Insomniac is facing this much criticism for a game that is, according to the reviews, somewhere in the range of "totally fine/serviceable" to "good". One very aggressive video is all it took.
