2/2 I've tarred roofs, hauled around 50 pound sacks of gravel and salt, driven forklifts, and pulled orders all day in 100 degree Texas heat. I hated every minute those jobs and hope I never have to go back to one. But I would if it was that or shooting people in the face for trying to run away.

I’ve been celibate for three years now. I know we can be just fine without sex. But I also know I’m missing out on a part of myself by not having that connection with another person. Maybe that part ranks higher for me than for other people, but it certainly feels necessary for me.

Hmm, I’m not sure I agree with this. Can we live without sex? Absolutely. But I think a lot of people need that kind of physically intimate connection with another person. I know I do, and I’ve been missing it. I think the issue arises when we think we are owed sex from others, which we are not.

It’s total jealousy, especially with white girls. I was wearing cute shit in grade school, a lot of it made by my mother, and they hated that. I can imagine the jealousy is even greater for Black kids rocking their looks. God forbid you be confident in a non-conformist way!

Yep. We learn that so young too. I was bullied in second grade by the popular girls, largely based on my clothing choices. It’s nuts, and I can now see those same types of girls in the Romance space hating sapphic stories and any FMC that they can’t self-insert into.

I think a lot of this is especially rampant with white women in particular. We are taught to constantly compare ourselves to our peers, and it’s not hard to see how that can turn into hate for other women. It’s straight-up Mean Girl behavior.

I also think that most of these atheists are only thinking about Christianity and maybe Islam (in an Islamophobic way).
