I've been watching a tomato slowly ripen in my neighbor's garden. It looks perfect now, and (despite being allergic to tomatoes) I am sorely tempted to produce-nap the tomato, leaving a William Carlos Williams-style apology poem in its stead... Or I could just pick one of our own tomatoes. 😂🍅

Fun fact - I still keep my first library card in my wallet for luck. It's a laminated piece of printed cardstock that was issued to me at the @ppld.org East branch in 1994. I had just started kindergarten and was exhausting the checkout limits on my mom's card! 😂

@ppld.org has always been a special home away from home for me. I love to nip over to the High Plains branch during my lunch break just to soak up some of the magical energy that only libraries have... and to pick up my next batch of holds, of course!
