they’re censuring this judge because he dared to demonstrate in court that a cop was lying under oath
14. Thereafter, respondent announced that he had some clarification
questions and proceeded to question the witness at length about his encounter with
the defendant, including the witness's observations of an L-shaped object in the
defendant's crossbody bag.
15. During his questioning, respondent said that he wanted to conduct "a
little experiment" to help him "understand" the officer's "point of view" and that what he had "asked [his] security" to do was "kind of unprecedented" and that he
had "security check it out."
16. Respondent then said he had a personally licensed firearm that he was
going to place in a "Five Below" bag.' Respondent explained that he wanted the witness to describe how he could tell that there was a firearm in the bag by providing testimony about "what it is about the bag and [the] firearm in the bag
that gives off a distinction of it being a firearm."19. Throughout the colloquy between respondent and the witness, respondent repeatedly and untruthfully represented that there was a gun in the bag, inter alia, by saying he had put one in there, which he knew to be untrue, or
specifically making references to the gun being in the bag, which he also knew to be untrue. The witness repeatedly declined to say he could see a gun in the bag. At one point, in response to one of respondent's references to the bag containing a gun, the witness testified that he saw an L-shaped object in the bag, and that he could tell that the L-shaped object had "a predicament [sic] of a firearm," but he
would have to conduct a frisk to confirm that. The witness also stated that both the object and the contours of the bag as displayed by respondent in court were different than the ones during the street encounter at issue.
20. At the conclusion of his questioning, respondent revealed that he had put a stapler, not his gun, in the bag, and he told the witness, "I guess you what you identified is an L-shaped object, which is a Swingline Stapler."

The blue states of Oregon, Michigan and Colorado declared today they would collaborate with the Trump regime to cut off trans kids from their healthcare without warning. Don't light my pyre and tell me it's a sunrise.

I still think it's important to emphasize that the attacks on trans women is only the loudest prong in the transphobic bigots attacks on trans rights, but the attacks on trans men are just as pernicious and vile - the loss of breeding machines for their fascist patriarchal system.

Rather than cover the cost of gender affirming care for trans youth under medicaid, Colorado is voluntarily enacting the republican "taper and detransition" policy for youth on medicaid and dropping coverage. WTF.
Ironically, the first known violation of that law is now coming from the state itself. On September 18th, the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) informed providers that “certain Physician-Administered Drug (PAD) services for the purposes of gender-affirming care will no longer be covered benefits for members under 18 years of age.” Two weeks later, HCPF released its full policy surrounding its updated coverage, and it somehow manages to be worse than the policies enacted by Arizona and Virginia. As Transitics reported last week, the federal rule allows for a 6-month ‘tapering’ period for youth currently receiving gender-affirming care where federal funds can still be used. And although HCPF does mention that stipulation in its policy, it also introduced a strange exception:

“Effective October 13, 2026, claims payment for GnRH/LHRH agents prescribed for gender-affirming care therapy for members under the age of 18 will not be allowed… Prior authorization for testosterone, estrogen, progesterone or medroxyprogesterone therapy for members under the age of 18,” the policy reads, “who are receiving and stabilized on therapy for gender-affirming care prior to October 13, 2026, may receive approval to allow for tapering and discontinuation of therapy.”

The exclusion of puberty blockers in the tapering policy isn’t accidental. The state’s prior authorization guidance that was updated the same day mirrors the policy and once again does not allow for a tapering period for trans kids receiving puberty blockers. And like Arizona and Virginia, Colorado has provided no indication that it has notified patients and their families. In doing so, Colorado is going far beyond what even the Trump administration intended—immediately cutting many trans kids’ care and leaving them scrambling for options.

I really liked it and used it because I try to mostly speak in E-Prime. But I realized people treated it as different from "being", and it became a microagression, so I stopped. But I know I'm weird. Most people have no problem with casual essentialism. Plato makes it seem rational.

All of this requires community organization and participation to keep it from becoming neglectful or exploitative, but none of it requires a state to achieve. (And we can quibble about what a "state" is, but the part most anarchists I know object to is the coercive hierarchy.)

b) young people above the age of 12 having the *option* of living in age-appropriate communal housing with other young people. I'm not sure of exact specifics, but I imagine a system of like "older siblings" providing oversight and protection to the younger kids at each level.

I'm an American anarchist who supports child liberation. You're right. I personally would like to see something like: a) children below the age of ~12 living with their natal or adoptive parents, with regular support and integrated contact from their extended families, neighbors, and community.

I just genuinely don't get what you're saying. Like they could teach "an inch is a unit of length" but then just fell into gibberish when they tried to say "a centimeter is also a unit of length"? An abacus is a whole different skill. But surely they were teaching you about measurements already.

I fucking hate liberals. I really do. Every single one of them has a minority in mind, at all times, to ascribe membership to as an insult. "What are we a bunch of Asians?" "Trumps brain is broken with psychosis" "Sounds like gender affirming care to me" None of you are funny or smart.

the fatal conceit of liberals is that they think the state can be tamed through rules and procedures, and that the state's intrinsic fascistic logic can be safely cordoned to the margins of society--the periphery, the ghetto--and not slowly creep back and eat away at their norms and institutions
