Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state. A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface. And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).
A crescent Moon seen during the day, arcing from upper left to lower right of the frame. At lower centre is the full disk of Jupiter; the small dots to its upper left and lower right and Io and Ganymede, respectively.

Most economists agree that by the time you're 50, you should be living in a dilapidated Victorian mansion at the edge of the forest, sitting by a roaring fire, and discussing poetry with furtive ghosts and indifferent cats.

there are a few classes of cognitive errors that I’ve seen LLMs make that I still find surprising and bizarre. like, saying “like you said earlier” and quoting themselves instead of me,

someone suggested that “a gastown” could be jargon for any giant, personal AI harness project. I have one, I call it “Commonplace.” but I want to hear about other people’s gastowns. What’s your weird idea? How big has it gotten? What parts of it work?

Please do not watch a video of someones murder. It will do nothing but harm you. You know someone was murdered. You dont need to see it.
