today i'm taking erik (music synth prototype) in a more sober direction; the code is displayed in a more traditional way, but you can set a colour for any variable, it shows where its used via color + lines, and you can edit any number as a knob.

i have been really into "PASTORAL" lately (Gazelle Twin, 2018). steeped in a wide variety of experimental + popular music, it's a dense, weird concept album of well produced, dissonant and often danceable tracks. full of ideas. lyrics range from fragmentary poetry to Reich style natural language.

latest ui experiments - large pan/zoom canvas where you can arrange the top level blocks of your code (and edit them); but also you can pull wires from any intermediate variable and just drop it anywhere else. also un-set parameters arent errors, they spawn visual knobs. promising-ish. very wip tho.
