Finished the 'Rise of the Zilart' expansion in Final Fantasy XI. I'm playing through expacs in the 'Rhapsodies of Vana'diel' order, so think it suffered for me since I'm playing it like 2 years after 'Promathia'. The final zones were top tier though! They really don't make them like that anymore!

Honestly, at this point, they should stop pretending that the Assassin’s Creed games have a modern day plot. The main protagonist and antagonist of the modern day (as set up in ‘Shadows’) don’t even have AC Wiki articles. It’s been over a year! Nobody cares. Trust me, I‘m nobody here.

Spectacularly late to the party with this, but just found out that the Rainforest Cafe in London closed down like three years ago. Apparently, by the end, it had a hygeine rating of 1/5 and had the 'Rainforest Cafe' branding stripped from them - so rebranded to 'Jungle Cave'.

Spent basically all afternoon stripping my Kindle ebooks of DRM and tidying up the metadata, so I could put them on KOReader. Took ages, but I _think_ I’m now completely free from the Amazon infrastructure! (Still haven’t quite managed to get Calibre to wirelessly connect to my Kindle though…)

Dinner last night was my first go at varenyky – Ukrainian dumplings, here filled with potato and onion, served with sour cream – very tasty! I’m bad at rolling dough and shaping dumplings! (Please ignore my chipped plate! I dropped a lemon squeezer on all my plates a week after buying them!)

Been listening to some BF Torchwood audios The strongest points are the characters. Especially the three different villainous/antagonistic gay men, who are all compelling and distinctive But they’ve also taken three runups at establishing the same overarching threat; each time it’s less convincing

Spell for fandom severance. Take a pair of dipped candles joined by the wick. Find a river—stand in it.
