Amongst the lilypads, the adventurer finds a mythical creature, taking a moments respite. He looks back at you over his shoulder.

Finally done. Finally. I think worth the effort, the additional work with the wet skin and hair made a lot of difference.
Hope you like him!
![Speedpaint: Chicken Raptor
Digital artwork of a the face of a feathered brown Dromaeosaurid.
Its head feathers have orange dots on them, and some have splashes of blue as well. A ring of longer vulture-like feathers around the neck are gold on the edges as well.
Its neck is sharply bent, so the head rests on the chest feathers, and its face is unfeathered and scaled in a brown color similar to the surrounding feathers. Its eye is small and orange, and the area around it is bare red skin like the face of a chicken. Similar red wattles are found on the edges of the face in two layers, and two small snoods sprout from either side of the chin. The mouth of the raptor is slightly open to reveal a row of sharp white teeth.
Over its shoulder, a blue sky with clouds is visible.
The main light source in the painting is sunlight, which hits the dinosaur from the back side, over its shoulder. This light shadows most of the face and mouth.
