Guess which other narcissistic, mentally unstable authoritarian leader called for an arch and a ballroom to be built as grand monuments to his glory. I'm sure it's just a coincidence . . .

Pete Hegseth gave a speech in front of a backdrop that almost perfectly matches Nazi imagery. Meanwhile, Trump calls opponents “vermin” who he will “root out,” and says the blood of our country is being poisoned. We are far past left vs right. Our choice is democracy or fascism.

"De-Trumpification" has to be one of the top agenda items if Dems win power. All the lawlessness and every last one of his efforts to turn DC into an imperial capital should be undone.

Over 22% of the Russell 2000 companies are "financial zombies". Ie., their operating cash flow doesn't even cover their interest rate payments (even with historically low interest rate loans). And as this debt rolls over in the next year or two, high interest rates will cause bankruptcies:

I'm not naive enough to actually believe this will happen, but Democrats could be preparing, right now, lists of impeachment charges against (at a bare minimum) Hegseth, Kennedy, Mullin, Patel, Blanche, & Trump, as well as Bondi, Bovino, & Noem (still worth doing!) that rely purely on public facts,

At the end of his term, Trump is likely to give general and preemptive pardons his minions. But in Schick v Reed, the right to pardon was limited to "any condition which does not otherwise offend the Constitution". A democratic president should use this limitation to prosecute as many as possible

I don’t think everyone realizes how bad things are for US science: For the fiscal year that just ended, the Trump regime withheld $1.4 billion from the National Science Foundation’s research budget, which is about 1/5 of its primary research budget.

National Science Foundation Diverted $1.4 Billion in Science Funds Mandated by Congress (Gift Article)
The move, affecting about one-fifth of the National Science Foundation’s primary research budget, is the latest sign of how the White House is asserting more control over grants.

Trump is planning to host a third gala for the top investors of his $TRUMP crypto coin. He and his family have raked in $2.2 billion from their crypto ventures, while their investors have lost almost the same amount. They’ll fleece anyone they can — even their own supporters.

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good. I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

I never understood how Willis having an affair with special prosecutor Wade (who she appointed) was grounds for dismissing the case. Improper, yes, but how does it invalidate Wade’s investigations? Seems like it was a yet another biased court looking for an excuse to help “their side”
