I've come a long way from being 19 in my room making a (frankly hilarious-sounding, in hindsight) attempt at emulating Marty Robbins' vocals on Big Iron. Do I sound like Marty Robbins now? Not really. But I can make a decent run at a down-the-octave Orville Peck type deal, & I'm proud of that.

If you've heard my first two albums, you know that was not always my primary range! Even multiple years on T. But apparently singing all the time can be a *really* effective form of diy voice training. And I don't seem to have lost my upper chest voice range either! Just kinda rusty.

I haven't been sleeping enough or really leaving home much due to anxiety but today I'm going to pack a little bag with snacks and drawing stuff and spend the morning out in nature until it gets warm. And then I will go home and hopefully feel at ease enough to get more than 2-3hrs of sleep today.
