If you'll humor me, compare these three self portraits I did in 2018, 2021, 2023. What I read from these is that heavy texture, dramatic contrast, & arbitrary color have always been major features of my art practice, but I've gotten better at doing it on purpose in a visually interesting way.

Hadn't taken ink & needle to myself since December, so I fixed that. New spider friend for my nature leg!! Taking name suggestions, but only if they're weird.

The aforementioned tank. Squimberly (the one remaining neocaridina shrimp from my 5gal that broke in the move) hasn't made an appearance since the most recent planting session, but she'll come explore when she's ready.
