This whole series is such timely and valuable work. I may have to frame this paragraph and keep it on my desk as a reminder/mantra.
Screenshot of second-to-last paragraph. Text:

The fundamental promise of legal education is that it produces professionals capable of competent practice. <highlighted sentence>Source blindness combined with source erasure puts this promise at risk by creating lawyers who think law is information that can be summarized rather than understanding it as text-specific authority requiring judgment, context, and verification.<end highlighted sentence> This is not just a pedagogical problem; it's an existential crisis for the legal profession itself.

We've been working with Octopus Legacy, which got us thinking about octopuses, and now we're here describing one for your enjoyment 🐙
Where do we begin? An orange blob with eyes appears to be hiding behind loads of tentacles, which, tbh, the octopus doesn’t look in control of. Its facial skin is like that of an orange lizard, and its bulbous, deadpan eyes, which sit perfectly at the top of its head, are definitely judging this alt text. Its tentacles are nothing short of stunning, sort of like thick ribbons floating through water. Bright orange and curly, its arms curl gracefully in the water, revealing lots of perfect white circular suckers underneath. It floats above rocks and seaweed on a seabed.
