Getting a slightly twitchy eyelid when I see whisky brands try to muscle in on Negroni Week. NEGRONIS ARE MADE WITH GIN! If you use whisky, it's a different drink. That a Boulevardier is delicious is beside the point. (Same goes for tequila brands, etc. I see you.)

Today marks one month since @lb-southwark.bsky.social took away my broken bin, and still they have not delivered a replacement. I wonder what my MP, @elliereeves.bsky.social, would have to say about that. Perhaps I ought to email her and find out.

I'm 56. Racism was everywhere when I was a kid. People just did it, without comment. Normalised. In the 90s political correctness (later: Woke) appeared, and racism withdrew. I'm not saying it vanished. But by 2015, it was socially unacceptable, even in the rough areas I grew up in. Then Brexit.

Got myself a new earring. What do we think, chat?

Photo of your humble narrator, side on so as to display said bit of bling. I am a white bloke, early 50s, short grey beard and mid length grey hair with blue framed glasses and a blue baseball cap worn backwards - mainly as a way of keeping my hair off my face. The earring is in my left ear. It is a small gold hoop inlaid with green ceramic that sits close to the lobe. I was keen to avoid going too Johnny Depp/piratical with it, while still adding, you know, a little something.

Called upon this morning, as my wife emailed son’s school, to find a synonym for clusterfuck. We went with “mess” in the end, but not before considering* - concatenation of coitus - calamatastrophe - situation non grata *Opinions may differ on how helpful I was actually being.
