Feeling fully seen. poorlydrawnlines.com/comic/secrets/
Secret, a comic by Reza Farazmand of two squirrels in a tree.

Squirrel 1: I'm scared of heights. I've never told anyone that.

Squirrel 2: It's good to be open with people.

Squirrel 1: I eat my nephew's baby food sometimes, and my sister's all "Where is it?" and I'm like "I don't know, be a better mother".

Squirrel 2: [speechless]

The Sharp TRP801 (1960)
A portable computer, in a very 'space age' case: the top is ivory but the sides and frontispiece are cherry red. Twin antenna sprout from the back, a zeerust-y tilted carry handle sports from the top, and a huge silver grille allows both airflow and speaker. There are a bare minimum of controls on the top of the device itself: an on/off push toggle, a silver tuning dial, a rotary display behind a glass window for current station, and recessed plastic wheels for h-hold, v-hold, brightness, and volume.

Most relevant Venn diagram 📊 #dataviz by @tomgauld.bsky.social (Tom, couldn't find this one on your Bluesky page) www.newscientist.com/article/2315...
'Venn diagram of pre-lunch meetings', by cartoonist and illustrator Tom Gauld for New Scientist, April 2022.

The diagram is titled 'The 11:30 meeting' and shows two scientists meeting in a lab. The scientist on the left has a speech bubble filled with diagonal orange stripes, and the scientist on the right has a thought bubble filled with blue diagonal stripes. The two bubbles overlap only slightly in the middle.

To the right of the diagram is a key that shows the speech bubble to be the Explanation, the thought bubble to be Plans for lunch, and the overlapping area to be Understanding.

Remains a favourite 📊 #dataviz Geographic distribution of major world religions dataworldatlas.com clo-communications.com
A map of the world, titled 'Geographic distribution of major world religions', by Carrie Osgood, adjunct professor in communication design and founder of the Data Atlas of the World.

The map shows each country as a pie chart, with the size of the pie chart proportionate to the size of the country's population, whilst the segments of the pie chart show the percentage distribution of the religions in the country.

A recent cartoon for New Scientist.
Three red spherical particles exit a small doorway. One is bandaged and two are cracked, they all look cross. The first is standing by a sign that reads “rate your particle collider experience”. Below the sign are three buttons with faces: green/happy yellow/neutral and, the one the particle is about to press, red/unhappy.

DEC VT-100 (1978)
A catalog shot of the VT-100 features a white-on-black monichrome monitor, a black monitor inset in a white case, and a black keyboard frontispiece and keys over a white keyboard case, set in a 70s warm umber backshot. The text, barely visible, features various forms of graphics characters, fonts, double-height lines, and inverse video; the 'digital VT 100' slogan appears case right.
