Annette Farrell @annettepdx.bsky.social · 29/07/2026How many people are out here with American healthcare, learning how to operate on themselves because they still can’t afford to get care from an actual doctor, surgeon, etc 000
Annette Farrell @annettepdx.bsky.social · 29/07/2026I just spoke to the surgeon who removed a cyst last winter. I’m going to need a new one removed. She told me to come in sooner than later bc Kaiser will soon call this a full charge “cosmetic procedure” It’s upsetting because my last procedure basically saved my life! She cleaned out an infection. 020
Annette Farrell @annettepdx.bsky.social · 28/07/2026The Kaiser Permanente medical system is a joke, if you desire anything further than 15 minute video meetings to get medication prescriptions. The pharmacy’s home delivery option is nice tho. 000
Annette Farrell @annettepdx.bsky.social · 07/07/2026Oregon Country Fair is basically private school for hippies. There’s much to learn about this aspect of Oregon culture, and it actually costs a lot to seem like we’re all living off the land or whatever. 010

Annette Farrell @annettepdx.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Today is the seniors last day of school in Portland high schools. Were my parents as worried about the state of the country / world when I graduated in the 2000s? I feel like this is measurably worse than the 2008 “financial crisis.” I think we had more hope and resilience back then. 000
