Hi, hello and welcome! This week I'm back on my death and morality themed nonsense with my recommendations. But look, I cannot be blamed for this. I found both stories in the same week and I just had to share them together, okay? (Yes, I know I'm predictable

The conversation actually did cover that "moist" didn't work in context. The other main purveyor of scrambled egg opinions said he liked his eggs "wet." The cause was the "loose" guy saying that microwaved scrambled eggs were superior. "Wet" guy disagreed.

Guy at lunch just said his preferred texture for scrambled eggs is "loose." I think it might surpass "moist" as an unpleasant descriptor for me.

Sometimes I'm in more of a headspace to read than write. It feels a bit frustrating as my stories sit incomplete in the folder, but I figure it has to be part of a healthy word cycle.

"As the Tide Loves the Diver, as the Diver Loves the Tide" by @ravn-j-silver.bsky.social is a wonderful end to my Saturday of reading. We are perhaps in an over information age, and this imagines an entity that would save us from it, for better or worse, but it is also a story of deep affection.

Had a rubbish morning that improved once I started working on a story. I feel so down about the impact of AI and don’t have a lot of solutions, but even with this hopefully misplaced feeling of doom, I still want to write. I still get joy out of it. I still want to share and read. Hanging onto that.

But also, places that feel liminal when they're empty often lose that quality once you populate them. I'm not sure any place can stay the opposite of liminal at all times. That's a really hard question! Have fun researching

Places that are busy but no one is paying attention to each other still feel like they can be thresholdy for me. I could imagine being in a busy supermarket where everyone is super focused on what they're doing and turning down an aisle that didn't exist before.

Anna Clark @annaclark.bsky.social · 29/06/2026
Actually kind of hard to think of specifics, but for me it's places where you feel seen and recognised (by someone/something you can also see). Can be positive or negative, but you both exist in place. So places of shared activity, like a fencing club/other activity community.
