Andy Stewart @andystew.art · 27/03/2026I stumbled upon Josh Puckett's lovely Interface Craft website. I wanted to see how well the cards interaction (built with Framer Motion) would translate to native View Transitions. These don't have the little animated graphics, but that should be feasible with this approach. 251

Reposted by Andy StewartBramus @bram.us · 18/02/2026Element-Scoped View Transitions are gonna be **SO GOOD** There’s still some details to settle, but the main thing is there: run VTs on a subtree of the DOM, allowing parallel VTs. And with `view-transition-scope` you can limit the scope of `view-transition-name` values, allowing VTs to be nested. 523037

Andy Stewart @andystew.art · 09/06/2025At the start of this year, I set out to actually learn how to write shaders. I had tried this before. I had tried to read The Book of Shaders—multiple times. Each time, I got discouraged and dropped off. This time, I tried to learn by building. I ended up with a little library and want to share it. 161

Andy Stewart @andystew.art · 07/02/2025I've always been annoyed that, with the Web Animations API, there's no built-in way to know when an infinitely looping animation is finishing/starting an iteration. Turns out it's pretty easy to fake it using the `finished` promise that you get when you play an animation. codepen.io/andystewartd... 010
Andy Stewart @andystew.art · 07/02/2025This is first time that I’ve written a shader and know, at a line-by-line basis, what the hell is happening. It's not even particularly complex, as shaders go, but it feels like progress. 020
Andy Stewart @andystew.art · 03/02/2025I started this on a plane 6 months ago, forgot about it, and finished it on a plane last week.
