Someone yelled across the gym this morning asking if I could spot them. I said “That’s a load bearing observation and it’s worth calling out.”

Money is no object. It’s really more of a concept that we associate with certain types of objects.

Hey, friends—I'm excited to share my new project! I call it Tupo. It's a daily logic puzzle with roots in sudoku, where every cell has to have a unique color-number combo. Give it a shot if you like daily logic games, and let me know what you think! playtupo.com

Is anyone here gainfully employed as a software engineer / developer / programmer / insert equivalent term, who only learned to code after having generated code with LLMs? Or do you know anyone who is?

Would it’ve killed ya?
A picture of a builder’s utility vehicle for a company called Haiku Building. The side of the truck reads:

“ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES
ARCHITECTURAL HOMES
RENOVATIONS”

I’m no poetry expect but I contend that this is not a haiku.

It's starting to sink in a bit more as I study system design. At its core, an app boils down to reads and writes If a system is read-heavy, scale it for high availability (so users can always get data quickly). If a system is write-heavy, we tune it for strict consistency

A brick-laying business owned by an older married couple would be a mom-an-pop brick-and-mortar store, whereas a baby supplies store with brick walls would be a brick-and-mortar mom-and-pop shop.

I want to buy an extremely cheap draft quality printer to print out the copious amounts of material that I need to read every day.Things like LLM output, code reviews, specifications, etc. The quality is not important. What matters is that it’s printed on paper so my brain will absorb it.
