Kept getting 'Message object can't be awaited' when using the Anthropic client. Turns out I was using the sync client but calling it with await. Switching to AsyncAnthropic fixed it, and it also keeps the server from blocking so it can handle other requests in the meantime

Learning more from @deeplearningai.bsky.social about zero-shot prompting where you don't provide any examples vs one-shot and two-shot, there are examples provided into the prompts

One of the most recent pieces of feedback I received in an interview was to incorporate more helper functions to clean up my logic a bit. So, we’re putting that feedback to work in today’s @codewars.bsky.social 🐍 algorithms

A React lesson I keep catching myself relearning: I tend to jump straight to the happy path, but I need to pause and ask: “What if it doesn’t?” Handle the unhappy path early, return, then let the rest of the code focus on the happy path. #webdev

The only way to get better is to do more Drawing my MVP system design for a horoscope app for first submission: 1) client sends their info to server 2) server stores info in DB 3) server talks with Claude 4) Server saves Claude's response 5) server sends horoscope JSON to client

Task: read the loop engineering examples Andy set out that make PostHog self-driving Reward: loops game at the end posthog.com/blog/self-d...

6-7 loops we use everyday to make PostHog self-driving
Six or seven loops we use to build self-driving in PostHog, from agent feedback to scouts that fix their own instructions. Real reports, merged PRs, and where humans still fit.

xA neat trick I learned from #codewithtoushif If you go to a repo link, type in diagram after git, it will display the codebase architecture 🤯

This was a fun one! I knew I had to split the string by ; and then be able to retrieve first name and last name. Afterwards, then I can sort by last name since they come first in the result list Time complexity is O(n log n ) due to sorting space is O(N)

Wired up @sentry.io to add real observability to Job Radar's backend. Threw a deliberate error to test it end-to-end and confirmed I still get live terminal logs Loved seeing the breadcrumbs and stack trace) at the same time.

Dug into @python.org logging module today I saw how log levels work and used it to trace through what my live agent was doing that started with a count of 0 jobs foundx Next up: hoping to wire it up with @sentry.io for proper observability instead of watching terminal output live.

I created a that loop actually works where instead of writing one function that does those four things in order every time, I gave the model three tools and let it decide how to use them. I go more in depth about this in my blog about the agent loop in my recent project

Read the prompt and immediately thought of two pointers starting from idx 0 and the all the way to the right, but then I realized, I could create a new string and swap out the characters for a and b

"I'm tired, Grandpa" of manually checking my builds. 😭 So I built a GitHub Actions workflow to do it for me. The workflow: → Finds the project folder → Pulls the repo code → Installs dependencies → Builds the frontend + backend → Fails if something breaks more automated confidence. 🤖

It's starting to sink in a bit more as I study system design. At its core, an app boils down to reads and writes If a system is read-heavy, scale it for high availability (so users can always get data quickly). If a system is write-heavy, we tune it for strict consistency

Python is a great first programming language, especially when you learn it by building projects. In this course, Treasure walks you through coding an expense splitter, word game, & karaoke queue manager. You'll practice tons of key Python concepts as you go. www.freecodecamp.org/news/learn-p...

Blogging about architectural decisions I've considered in my most recent project One of them was debating between creating an agentic workflow vs traditional cyclic workflow Instead of hardcoding every possible path, I decided to give the agents more autonomy

Spent this week hardening a public endpoint on my Job Radar project (an agent that finds and scores junior SWE job postings), and incorporate rate limiting by IP using #slowapi Ran a curl command to test and it came out as 200 as successful than 429 (Too Many Requests) #fastapi

Created a public demo of an AI agent = fun idea, expensive if you don't think it through. Allowed one run per email and added pre-captured agent traces instead of live API calls each time. Prospects can watch and see the experience and have no surprise bill.

Typically, I like to add in each item into the stack, then do some algos to it, similar to Valid Paren problem, but for this problem, I learned to be patient and check first before adding to the stack. Any other way you would have solved it?

Morning's algo consisted of buying and selling stack pt deux I solved my algo similar to how pt: 1 but turns out I can improve the algo by looking at the previous number if it's less than current's price today

Started with one navbar for my landing page + dashboard. Then I realized one navbar is handling a lot of different links on landing vs dashboard, and I'd have to consider auth state Would you rather implement two navbars or one navbar that handles all?

will make an assumption about ';' in some places of your code I thought the bug for this #codewar was due to using 'var' but it was because the { sat on a new line below so JS assumed it was return; in line 3💡
