I could do a spot o' damage to a dried apple and preserved plum tart right now. Wouldn't mind if it was hot or jolly well cold...

I’m FREQUENTLY seeing what is clearly ChatGPT output being posted as replies in various forums as if it is the actual response from the person who posted it and it is so gross/weird. Like if the person wanted ChatGPT’s opinion they could’ve just put their post into ChatGPT themselves

“I was expecting an attack on climate science,” @drkatemarvel.bsky.social said. “But actually, who they went after 1st was pediatric cancer & Parkinson’s research, and childhood vaccines. I was completely unprepared for an attack on science, because it’s a means of finding out & telling the truth.”

The @esa.int Gaia satellite will take its final scientific measurements on Wednesday. 🔭 This will conclude a 12 year series of continuous observations. Larger Gaia data releases are still in progress, but Gaia has already had a HUGE impact on our understanding of the #milkyway. (Image: ESA)

🚨🚨New paper alert!! 🚨🚨🧪🔭 Today we published exciting new results from the Rosetta mission! These results have big implications for where the comet formed and for whether comets could have supplied water to Earth. #PlanetaryScience #Rosetta 🧵1/n www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Astronomer Annie Jump Cannon was born #OTD in 1863. She was a pioneer of stellar classification and co-creator of the Harvard Classification Scheme. Over her lifetime she *manually* classified around 350,000 stars. (1/n) 🧪 🔭 👩‍🔬 ⚛️ Image: Harvard University, Radcliffe Archives
