We don’t have a tv yet, so I found a cheapo projector so we can watch #LDSConf tonight (and kids had a blast playing Breath of the Wild on it)

New tutorial finally in press with @rmkubinec.bsky.social @chelseaparlett.bsky.social and @matti.vuorre.com. It has everything you could possible want: Quippy headings, a whole lot of beta, bayesian analyses and frequentist analyses side by side in harmony. link.springer.com/article/10.3...

Beta regression is underused in psychology. Back in the day, it was hard or impossible to do with software. Things have changed and you can now do it for free and with about as much ease as any other GLM. Whether you need description, prediction, or causal inference--beta regression can do it all.

There are two LDS congregations in Doha—one English-speaking and one Tagalog-speaking—and they do a combined Christmas choir so we joined and holy cow the Filipino members bring *so much food and pastries* to the practices and it rules

I just use it for the gradebook—I leave fancier things to Quarto at a separate course-specific website bc no LMS can do fancier stuff like that
