There is a lot going on right now and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Just remember the 20-60-10 rule! After 20 minutes of work, take a 60-minute stroll through the forest and hug 10 trees (at least). They need love too!

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

My why? Making books for children is a radical action, b/c becoming literate is a radical action, b/c self identifying as a reader is a radical action, b/c reading with the explicit goal of gaining self knowledge is a radical action. These are radical actions b/c they literally change the world.
