The fact it's also making normal struggle less "acceptable" at work is also infuriating. The pressure to not be human is higher than ever. 🫩

The cheeky long game would be very them, but also not something they've done before. At least not via the last patch MSQ before an expansion, but iirc the timeline is also quite different from all other expansions. If not for the sound they showed us I'd think its a red herring.

This has me thinking, and you know there's almost an association for me per OC. Like when i think of them i also think of an expression that just personifies them. I could see this being a good wol qotd 🤔

Very hot take: Can people making mods STOP making them with the testing build for Penumbra and the beta build for TT? You are locking so many people out who refuse to use those builds because we want to use STABLE VERSIONS. #FFXIVMods #XIVMods

Belatedly - I made these, I like them pretty well, so I made a resource and it really took forever, but here, I hope you like it. 🥹 I also made a beginner's visual/text guide and linked it in the mod posting. It's not very good, and yes my blender is pink, but I tried! (I also added shark shapes)

every so often someone asks about finding paths to world objects for brio. USE PATHFINDER!! it makes finding paths way easier than rawdogging reslogger!!!!!

steps for using pathfinder:
1. enable overlay
2. hover over the object you want
3. click to copy the path

4. open gpose, spawn an object
5. paste the path you copied

From observation only, the people vanilla mashups appeal most to are people who value immersion. Visually I mean. So as long as the from scratch feels like it blends into the game environment, I doubt people will have anything nasty to say. And tbh if they do? It's your art, they can get over it.

It was amazing what everyone has accomplished so far and how much more amazing textured hair choices we have brought to the modding scene! for anyone using brio and likes to mess with the environment, the raindrops setting under the advanced rain settings gives you the effect of raindrops hitting the ground but also the wet floor effect. you even get the wet floor if you set the rain to be completely transparent or have the rain at 0

If you were using Lulu’s for ocean fishing, it has been inaccurate for a while, but with the new route it is now fully outdated, and unlikely to be updated. oceanfishing.boats is made by fishing community members, using the most up-to-date data—because guess who went fishing to get it.

You know, maybe it would be easier for new players to get through A Realm Reborn if the FFXIV community didn't treat it like a literal chore. Like required reading, or the vegetables you have to eat before getting dessert. Maybe if we just call it good--which it is--people will actually LIKE it.
