Watched VAMPS last night and I’m genuinely confused as to why it’s not regarded as a beloved cult classic. Incredibly random and talented cast, silly vibe, genuinely emotional beats, and just fun. The CGI is poor but it’s sparsely used. This is a sweet little comedy with a decent body count.

Watching NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD: REANIMATED. Love the variety and ambition, but the cuts between each animation style are jarring and there’s no flow. Would’ve been way better to let an artist have 30 - 60 seconds of the movie rather than the average of like, 8.

There’s so so SO many, but the one that popped in my head, the one that makes me laugh aloud every single time, is the climax to “The Witches of Pennbrook” from Boy Meets World season 5. Absurd, highly quotable, Halloweeny, and a high gag ratio. “What? It’s startin’ to get fun again.”

Watched SCARY MOVIE. No, not that one. I mean the amateur-ish slasher from 1991 that takes place at a house haunt attraction and is my new favorite Category 1 Halloween movie. So many memories of working a ministry haunt in college.
