Zef 🌗 in Tural! 7.5 Spoilers @amaurotgarden.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I kinda want to get into FF11 for the story, but I heard the free trial only includes the base expac, and you lose out on the new-player freebies from Rhapsodies like the EXP boost and all that. Crine.

the arcadion's rising star isn't ready to call it quits yet ; here comes her second wind ! ⚡ ⤷ c: vinushka333 ⸺ #wol:t'alon

t'alon (she/her) standing tall but battered in her arcadion outfit: a vanguard jacket with a black body suit hugging her body. she's holding her staff out and towards the viewer with one hand and wiping the blood running from her nose with her other. her ears have shifted from their usual airplaned position into being fully pinned down. her tail is thrown across her side and curls towards the front of her. lightning magic gathers at the top of her staff, and is also seen striking the area around her.

Mmmm, this topic is kinda old, but I really don't like the language people use when addressing the possibility of there being a free story skip in EC. Like, yes, the story is good, and I'd prefer people not skip it, but it also reads as the story being the ONLY reason why someone would play FFXIV.

Sorry, I haven't been on here recently. All of my time has been spent catching up on some games I've been wanting to play for the longest time like FF13 and Trails 2nd Chapter Also, been getting back into reading fanfics of a certain butcher and blonde scientist in a spaceship, ehehehehe

Just finished FF13 in preparation for Evercold since that’s seeming to be the expac they’re taking inspo from MAN I FREAKING LOVE FF13 I wish it was a good game.

250

Zef 🌗 in Tural! 7.5 Spoilers @amaurotgarden.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Now that the embargo is over, one theory im positing is that maybe the next few expacs will be based off previous expacs as well. Kind of combining a previous Expac + FF game. So Evercold is gonna be a combo of Heavensward and FF13. Next one is Stormblood and another FF. So on so forth.

Still really happy about people showing up yesterday; that was my main fear the entire week leading up to the Vocasynth party. I'm definitely gonna host another before the end of the year, probably in December! And have a quicker trivia game (I know the quiz show was messy. I'll rework it!)

I'm gonna wait till the FF7 collab comes out to give my full thoughts on Dawntrail, but My main opinion is that this really was the sacrificial expansion lamb. A monkey's paw curled for almost every piece of content that came out. It feels like there was troubled development.
