At immigration court in Chicago this morning. Per reporter inside who was told he can't use his phone, at least three people have been detained by ICE this morning after their hearings; two men and one woman. Two black SUVs with plainclothes agents inside have arrived, presumably for transport.

Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.

The headline really sanitizes what they did to this guy. Getting stripped naked, inadequate food, sleep deprivation sounds more like war on terror ear rendition than "interrogation."
Senior described Schmidt being “violently interrogated” at Logan Airport for hours, and being stripped naked, put in a cold shower by two officials, and being put back onto a chair.

She said Schmidt told her immigration agents pressured him to give up his green card. She said he was placed on a mat in a bright room with other people at the airport, with little food or water, suffered sleep deprivation, and was denied access to his medication for anxiety and depression.

“He hardly got anything to drink. And then he wasn’t feeling very well and he collapsed,” said Senior.

He was transported by ambulance to Mass General Hospital. He didn’t know it at the time, but he also had influenza.

A list dividing 43 countries into three categories: Red (All travel banned), Orange (Visas Sharply Restricted), and Yellow (60 days to address)

Red countries are Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen

Orange countries are Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan

Yellow countries are almost exclusively African and Caribbean countries, with the exception of Vanuatu

This is going to kill many public libraries, especially in rural areas. If you use a public library, you will be impacted. #imls is a dust mote in the federal budget. It also provides things like internet at your local library so people can apply for jobs and kids can do homework.

1. This case concerns the government’s targeted, retaliatory detention and
attempted removal of a student protestor because of his constitutionally protected speech.
Petitioner Mahmoud Khalil is Palestinian, a lawful permanent resident of the United
States, and a recent graduate student at Columbia University. Over the last year and a
half, Mr. Khalil has been a mediator, an active participant in, and at times the public face
of, student protests on Columbia’s campus related to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
The Trump administration has made no secret of its opposition to those protests and has
repeatedly threatened to weaponize immigration law to punish noncitizens who have
participated.PRAYER FOR RELIEF
WHEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully requests that this Court:
Assume jurisdiction over this matter;
2)
Vacate and set aside Respondents' unlawful Policy of targeting noncitizens
for removal based on First Amendment protected speech advocating for
Palestinian rights;
Vacate and set aside the Rubio Determination;
4)
Enjoin Respondents from transferring the Petitioner from the jurisdiction
of this
District pending these proceedings;
Order the immediate release of Petitioner pending these proceedings;
Order the release of Petitioner;
Declare that Respondents' actions to arrest and detain Petitioner violate the
First Amendment and the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment;
