Prorogation means everything in Parliament is dead right now. All bills, all committee work, everything. Any of it can be picked back up with UNANIMOUS consent from the House of Commons (among other conditions). So basically, any bills or studies you loved or hated are donezo.

Below is my statement on Justin Trudeau’s resignation. If you oppose callous Conservative cuts. If you oppose the rich getting richer while everyone else falls further behind. Stand with the NDP this time: ndp.ca/fightback
Graphic that reads: "Justin Trudeau has let you down, over and over.

He let you down on the cost of housing and groceries.

He let you down on fixing health care.

It doesn’t matter who leads the Liberals. They don’t deserve another chance.

Conservatives are jumping at the opportunity to take from you and give more to CEOs.

You will pay the price of Poilievre's cuts.

If you oppose callous Conservative cuts; if you oppose the rich getting richer while everyone else falls further behind – stand with the NDP this time.

You can have a government that works for you for a change."

Pierre Poilievre, increasingly out of breath: "NOTHING HAS CHANGED! ALL LIBERALS ARE LIKE JUSTIN! HE'S NOT REALLY GONE! HIS GHOST IS IN ALL OF THEM! HE IS LEGION! NO NO NO NO"
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre tweets: "Nothing has changed.

Every Liberal MP and Leadership contender supported EVERYTHING Trudeau did for 9 years, and now they want to trick voters by swapping in another Liberal face to keep ripping off Canadians for another 4 years, just like Justin.

The only way to fix what Liberals broke is a carbon tax election to elect common sense Conservatives who will bring home Canada's promise: https://conservative.ca/cpc/call-for-a-carbon-tax-election-now/"

This is ironic because every Liberal "success" is a policy stolen, or forced on them by "the left": national childcare, national dental plan, CERB, etc. The Liberals fail because they campaign from the left, and govern as milquetoast centrists.

The only thing remotely left has been Dental care, little pharmacare bits and those were NDP policies, barely left politically, and enacted only so that the Libs could get their austerity budget with some strange bribe cheque attached. They are fooling nobody.

Here is the quote and the full story if anyone is interested in the source: globalnews.ca/news/1094357...
Excerpt from a Global News article reads: “Almost all of the MPs Global News spoke to believe Trudeau has moved the party too far to the left and that shift has played a key role in the decline of the Liberals.”

I saw that Liberal sources had told Global News they felt Trudeau had pulled the party “too far to the left” and they seemed to think that was the problem with his leadership If that’s the takeaway the Liberals are going with, they are incredibly boned

Another reason why Pierre Poilievre is unfit to lead Canada. His front bench are conspiracy nutters who are using the threat of an American takeover of our nation to peddle conspiracy drivel. We need leaders with a vision for Canada. Poilievre is too busy chasing the rage algorithm of conspiracy.
