fanfiction etiquette has really gone out the window. remember: the back button is your best friend. critiquing fanworks like they are professional works is unnecessary. engaging with works is what keeps authors writing.

NEW FIC ALERT! private room | 35k | explicit 👠 written for FTH 2024 👠 posted belatedly 👠 stripper Lan Zhan 👠 client Wei Ying 👠 impressively accurate sex work details 👠 weird stuff in the private room 👠 the mortifying ordeal of falling for your strip club regular archiveofourown.org/works/62836045

private room
ScarlettStorm

Summary:

“What exactly did you want my feedback on?” Lan Zhan asks, bending one knee to cock a hip and putting an arch in his back. He laces his voice with just a hint of innuendo. Cobalt is never too excited about anything, so it wouldn’t do to seem too eager or too horny.

Gorgeous Newbie inhales, squaring his shoulders, and blurts, “Would you watch my stand-up routine and tell me if it needs anything?”

Lan Zhan blinks. The music is loud in here, like it is everywhere in the club. Surely he misheard. “What?”

“I have a stand-up routine,” Gorgeous Newbie repeats, more confidently this time. “I would really appreciate it if you could watch it and give me feedback.”

Or: What happens in the private room, stays in the private room... Until it doesn't.

dectractors of fujoshism love to compare it to men watching lesbian porn but frankly i WISH they were right, and that we lived in a world where straight men spent hours lovingly writing hundreds of thousands of words about fictional women falling in love and fucking nasty

So my time-travel fix-it fic is now over 30K, I am only up to the events of episode 18 of MLC, though we have finally hit major canon divergence territory, which is good. I have an idea of where I am going and some scenes planned, but there's scope to be surprised too. This is fun! #dihua #mlc

writers gifting fic to artists based on their drawings and artists gifting art based on fics is the purest form of fandom at its core.

6784 words written today! New fic is coming along quite nicely, that's the second chapter done. The difficult part is working out how much things are going to deviate from canon now and when. I mean, they have a little, but not substantially, but they will have to at some point

I am being bad and writing my MLC fic instead of finally finishing my MDZS AU fic that I started years ago and people are probably waiting for me to update. I mean, probably not loads, but there might be some people out there who want it. I promise I will finish it at some point! But DFS/LXY calls

I blame @mimispearmint.bsky.social and their excellent heat clinic fic for giving me a dream where both LWJ and WWX were doing that sort of work (LWJ as an alpha) and they were so good and so popular that powerful people were their clients and wouldn't let them retire
