What's up, y'all, happy WIP Wednesday. I'm doing something that is (for me) absolutely wild and not writing the older LWJ/LQY/younger WWX threesome fic in chronological order, so here's a sample from the beginning. Are y'all gonna hear my home reno horror stories in great detail? Hell yes you are.

Okay, like, objectively Wei Ying knows that moving into a landlord special fixer-upper house and planning to renovate it yourself is a classic home ownership mistake. He sees it all the time at his day job, and it only brings people misery and a full year of cooking all their meals on a hot plate while the kitchen renovation takes months longer than they'd planned. That said, in Wei Ying's defense, he sees it all the time because he's a fucking electrician. He spends half his working hours at construction sites and the other half making sure people's hundred-year-old Craftsman-style houses don't spontaneously combust thanks to hundred-year-old knob and tube wiring. Sometimes he makes the flooring guys show him what they're doing, or borrows some stilts from the drywall guys and learns the basics of mudding. Wei Ying knows how to do most of the stuff this house needs, and what he doesn't know, he has friends who do it professionally.

He also moved into this house from an absolute shithole studio apartment where he was already cooking his meals on a hot plate. He's used to not having a real kitchen. He's been training for this.
