Allowing ‘no Blacks’ and ‘no trans’ while banning ‘no zionists’ is insane
Several users received an error message that says "The following are not allowed: no zionist, no zionists," when they tried to add the phrases to their bios on Thursday.
I tested this myself on a new Grindr account, nd received the same error message. I was able to add "Zionist" to my profile (without "no"), however, and could also add any phrase I could think of: "no Arabs," "no Blacks," "no Palestinians," "no Muslims," "no Christians," "no Jews," "no trans," "no Republicans," "no Democrats," and so on. "No Zionist[s]" was the only phrase that was blocked in my testing.

LGBTQ+ charities warn of ‘genuine crisis’ for trans people after UK ruling
Charities say the judgment creates ‘a legal framework that simply cannot uphold the dignity’ of trans people Fourteen national LGBTQ+ charities have written to Keir Starmer seeking an urgent meeting to discuss what they describe as “a genuine crisis for the rights, dignity and inclusion of trans people in the UK” after the supreme court’s ruling on biological sex. The UK supreme court ruled last month that the terms “woman” and “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 referred only to “a biological woman” and to “biological sex”, with subsequent advice from the equality watchdog amounting to a blanket ban on trans people using toilets and other services of the gender they identify as. By failing to offer real change, the Labour Government risks handing the country to the far right. Our statement on the Runcorn & Helsby byelection. 🔽
Momentum statement on the Runcorn and Helsby byelection:

“For Reform to win Runcorn and Helsby so early into the Labour Government’s Parliamentary term should raise alarm bells in the Labour Party.

By continuing austerity, pandering to the far right and failing to offer real change, the Labour Leadership risks handing the country to the likes of Nigel Farage.

It’s time for MPs, Councillors, Party members and the wider labour movement to speak out and demand the Government change course - and it starts with the upcoming vote on welfare cuts. MPs must vote against these cruel and unnecessary measures and stand up for the most vulnerable in society.”

Again, ask yourself, would any of this be happening if the Supreme Court ruling went the other way? Would the Government be rushing to enshrine trans protections? Would there be calls to assess the damage of GC hate that “captured” the media? Would MPs be lining up to declare trans women are women?

again, eg: the change in law does not stipulate that a business offering a women’s only service or space *must* refuse transgender women. it *does* stipulate that a transgender woman refused access to such a space would not have legal recourse to protest this. (both wrong, but very different).

it is actually incredibly important we disambiguate this for as many people as possible. there is a very real risk that business owners or service providers might start policing trans use of single-gender spaces only because they think this is a legal requirement (it is not!).

Wow, "gender critical activists" now shifting their focus to xenophobia?! I had no idea this was going to happen!
A "gender critical activist" named Jess Gill wrote a post on Twitter:

We’ve won the battle against trans ideology.

Now, it’s essential that the gender critical community speaks up about the dangers of mass immigration for women.

Women and girls are being raped and harassed across the country. If you truly care about women’s safety, you need to speak out against this.
