I am deeply saddened that the "Zionism is Racism" motion has passed.

As Greens, we will always uphold universal human rights.

We will never tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment.

We will continue to stand in opposition to genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and the illegal occupation.

We will continue to call out the heinous crimes of the Netanyahu government.

And we will continue to work to ensure that the Green Party is an anti-racist party in every way.

We know there is no conflict between supporting the rights of Palestinians and the rights of Jewish people.

It really wasn't a wise move but the enforced rehab of lots of walking was an interesting experiment which seems to have worked as it's about 80% ok now. (Grade 1 tear). No running yet though...

San Marino, being entirely constructed on a steep mountain, is not the best Country to visit when two days beforehand you've torn your hamstring whilst doing a handstand; but I enjoyed my hobble around there.

A random visit to Moldova as it was one of only 3 countries I'd not visited in Europe. We'd expected brutalist Soviet architecture but Chisinau was unexpectedly pretty.

My 'problem' with the immediate jump to first names in Hospitals is that I am called by my middle name. It's not rare to have this situation (my parents chose it) and so in my work I would say "good morning Mr 'Surname', what do you like to be called?" and I'd make a note of it on their file.

I'm sure we didn't and maybe a contributor was that we addressed our elders with their title and surname (until invited to do otherwise) and wouldn't have dreamt of calling them babe, sweetheart or darling.

It's awful that in many situations I find that the attitude to this little old lady changes when I slip in that I'm a retired lawyer.

Ali Dolphin @alidolphin.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Yes! Not sure if it's because I'm small or 65+ or both. I asked a nurse I know and she brushed it off saying she does it to be friendly but it's a big no for me -so patronising. I actually contacted Shrewsbury and Telford Trust about it but got no reply -I think they have more to worry about!

Ali Dolphin @alidolphin.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Ugh. At every hospital appointment I'm addressed by nurses as 'sweetheart' or 'darling' and the response to any comment I make is always "bless you".

This should be the moment people finally realise that Farage has turned them into fascists. If you’re choosing this dangerous inhumanity over the rescue work of the RNLI, you’ve lost your minds to racism and hatred.

I completed the 92 again last season (at Bromley with Shrewsbury). With all the dropping in and out of the league I've done 122 league grounds and that doesn't include repeating the ones who moved. It's exhausting.

King Offa’s Dyke Race. 185 mile continuous race from Chepstow in South Wales to Prestatyn, North Wales. Naturally the drought has ended and the heavens have opened! Good luck Frank.
