I’d like to know which faculty were charged with receiving and reading the rapist’s essays and what constituted an “acceptable” essay. Were they given criteria for determining “lessons learned”? Adequate degree of “remorse”? I wanna see the emails documenting the thought process here.

I don't know what "voters" [as an amorphous mass] will "respond to." I only know what I respond to and that's a sample size of 1. But I have seen how well bigotry works in elections. I am not going to pretend that I do not. To me, that's why you have to have basic convictions/values as a politician.
