What a gorgeous day to stand in solidarity with your community. Thank you all for standing with us and showing this university what courage and determination looks like. Here's to our strength as the fight continues. But more importantly, here's to us winning. Solidarity, UoNUCU

Our VC claiming that c.600 FTE redundancies will allow the university to invest in its staff. Outrageous and offensive.

Our strike action began today. The management at our university has seemingly shackled itself to course closures and compulsory redundancies, despite neither being financially necessary. So we fight for our members, our students, and our community until they change their minds.

I was checking some of my teaching material from last year in advance of a Cold War module that I am about to teach and noticed that I had assigned my students several primary sources from the Wilson Center last year. None of these sources are available digitally anymore. Thanks Trump.

Also it is with no small amount of irony that we’re all supposed to be up in arms about plagiarism and the theft of ideas/words whilst also being told that the AI revolution is inevitable and we should all embrace the word-stealer 5000 that is devouring all our work for free.

Seeing a lot of university managers bemoaning the declining number of students applying for Arts and Humanities subjects at their institutions - perhaps all the academic staff that made these subjects appealing shouldn't have been made redundant?

Deeply concerned about the ProudOfUs website claiming to uncover the hidden truths of British history. Whilst clearly nefarious, it's also laughable. After just a few minutes browsing the site, it demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of what history is and how it works.
