when I ran the GSA and kids asked what to do when they saw someone being bullied or heard someone being homophobic or transphobic, I said that a lot of the time the harshest critique is just one of their peers saying "Gross, that's not funny." We used to practice saying it.

I try not to let my garmin watch gaslight me, but it's been telling me my readiness is steadily ticking down for about a week, and I've been waking up at lower and lower percentages of a person each morning. I feel okay??? I mean, tired and uninterested in work, but okay.

absolutely wild to me that I was able to sit down and read this book like a real book. 3 weeks, 250 pages. I mean, sure, it's "for elementary school and up" and I can only read like, a chapter a day (with a dictionary open) before my brain melts, but dang.

the book is "uchiage hanabi, shita kara miru ka? yoko kara miru ka?" by Shunji Iwai. I haven't checked for an official translated title, but it means "Do you watch the fireworks from below, or from nearby?"

Macklemore just announced he’s donating the $1 million he made from Sheeran’s tour to 6 organizations to support Palestinians and he’s asking Robert Kraft to match it. This is just the first part announcing it.

With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom.
I will be donating the entire $1 million of my net earnings from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations working directly to support the Palestinian people.
